Ranja
Ranja (no last name) is nineteen years old. She is of average height for a human, with dark blonde hair and emerald-green eyes. She is sweet and generous and thinks the best of everyone. She doesn’t have enough years to believe that there is evil in the world, and hasn’t had the upbringing to teach her otherwise. Ranja has led a happy and quiet life so far. Many think her quiet and withdrawn, and blame that on the fact that she was found as a baby and never knew her parents. Ranja, however, is neither quiet nor withdrawn to any who actually approach her, a fact Sintilya Foxblood and others who know her well can attest to. She simply spends most of her time doing what she does best – reading. Knowledge has always held a great allure to Ranja, and she is filled with an insatiable curiosity to learn all she can. Ranja adopted Sintilya as her unofficial mentor to that end, and is endlessly pestering her with questions and for stories. When she isn’t bothering Sintilya or someone else, Ranja can be found in a quiet corner with her nose stuck in a book.
As a result of existing chiefly within her own happy bubble of a world, Ranja is in possession of a disproportionately large amount of “book smarts” and an equally disproportionately small amount of common sense. She has a knack for saying the wrong things at the wrong time, and for remaining admirably oblivious to things others might pick up on right away.
Regardless, Ranja is extremely well-liked among those who have had a chance to meet her without a book between them and her face. Her sunny personality and endless enthusiasm for learning all she can about everything she can make it hard to dislike her.
